Teresa Tomeo

Teresa Tomeo is a media expert, speaker, and consultant addressing issues that impact the culture and family.  With more than 33 years of experience in TV, radio and newspaper, Teresa has spent over 20 of those years working in front of a camera as a reporter/anchor in the U.S. Detroit market. Her weekday morning radio program, Catholic Connection, is produced by Ave Maria Radio and is syndicated on nearly 300 Catholic stations nationwide through the EWTN Global Catholic Radio Network as well as Sirius/XM Satellite Radio.  She also co-hosts a weekly Television series on Eternal Word TV Network, The Catholic View for Women, which is available  in over 230 million television households in more than 140 countries and territories.  As a speaker, Teresa travels throughout North America and around the world, discussing media awareness and activism, and sharing her reversion to the Catholic Church.  In September, 2013, Teresa spoke at the Vatican conference sponsored by the Pontifical Council for the Family. Her presentation, “The Way Family is Perceived in Society,” focused on the impact the mass media have on family life. In 2008, she was one of only 200 international delegate invited to the Vatican Women’s Congress in Rome, marking the 20th Anniversary of Blessed Pope John Paul II’s letter, Mulieris Dignitatem: On the Dignity and Vocation of Women. Teresa has authored several best-selling Catholic books including Noise: How Our Media Saturated Culture Dominates Lives and Dismantles Families published by Ascension Press, Extreme Makeover: Women Transformed by Christ, and Wrapped Up: God’s Ten Gifts for Women published by Servant Franciscan Media.
