Courage International is fully compliant with the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. While our apostolate ministers exclusively to adults, our chaplains and staff members have all undergone the required background checks and safe environment training.  We urge anyone who is aware of or suspects that a minor or vulnerable adult is being abused to immediately report it to civil authorities and to the safe environment office of the local diocese.  Although our chapter meetings are conducted in a spirit of confidentiality, we make it clear that such confidentiality does not apply to reports or suspicions of abuse, and that in fact our clergy chaplains and others present are mandated by civil and church law to report abuse.

We are committed to keeping the public informed about credible allegations of sexual misconduct by members of the clergy who are connected to the apostolate, either directly or remotely. This page will serve as an archive, and will be updated with relevant information as we receive it.
